【教学目标】

能听懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词或短语bread, meat, potatoes, tomatoes, vegetables, look for, love, bread  

能听懂、会读、会说现在进行时态的一般疑问句:Are they doing Is he/she doing…及正确回答。  

2.能力目标:  

能正确的理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。  

能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人正在做的事情。  

3.情感目标:   

培养学生乐于助人的良好习惯。

教学难点:能正确理解并朗读课文,在教师的帮助下尝试复述或表演故事。  

【教学准备】1.教师准备:PPT,图片。 2.学生准备:自读故事,初步了解故事内容。  

【教学过程】  

Step1 Greetings  

   

Step 2 Pre-reading  

1. Sing a song  

2. Brain storming: 30 seconds non-stop talking   

Rules: Work in group of 6. Each student says one word about food or drinks one by one.    

No repeating. Time: 30 seconds.  

   

Step 3 While-reading  

1. Show the pictures of unit 6, look and guess  

THere come Liu Tao and his parents, where are they?  

SS: In the kitchen  

T: Bingo! They are in the kitchen.(show the title, students read together.)  

What are they doing?  

Ss: They are cooking.  

2. Watch and answer  

T: Let’s listen to the tape and answer these two questions.  

3. Read and match  

Scanning. Ss scan the Paragraph 1 and 2 and find out what food and drinks are mentioned.  

4. Think and say  

5. Let’s read.  

6. Listen and answer  

T: Does Liu Tao like the food? Let’s watch the cartoon and answer the question.  

Ss: Yes.  

T: OK. Please read the paragraph 3 and try to find the sentences about it.  

S1: It's yummy/nice.  

S2: I love it.  

S3: You’re a great cook.  

7. Read in roles.  

8. Let’s act.  

          

Step 4 Post-reading  

1. Discuss with your partners.  

T: Now, Liu Tao’s grandpa is calling him. He says: “What are you doing Taotao?”  

If you were Liu Tao, what would you say? Discuss with your partners. Then finish the exercise on   

Page60.  

Ss: Discussing.  

2.T: Is Liu Tao fat or thin?  

S: No, he is just right.  

T: Look at the boy. What’s wrong with him?(小胖子)  

What advice can you give him?  

3. Here comes practice time , I can judge.  

(1) We should eat some vegetables every day.  

(2) We can drink much cola.  

(3) Meat and eggs are not good for us.  

(4) Milk can make us strong.  

4. Make a diet table for yourself and share.
