通过本课时学习，学生能够：
1、运用书中插图简单猜测出故事中的Who? What?Why?和Where?并能结合插图和文字初步看懂故事大意。
2、在教师的帮助下，利用图片、板书等分角色表演故事，理解故事内涵。从故事中懂得每一个人都应该有自己的梦想，并且要为了自己的梦想不断努力奋斗。
3、掌握一些阅读技巧,例如:skimming, scanning等。
