Ben’s tooth   本掉牙了(教学设计)

Ben’s Tooth(《本掉牙了》)是《丽声三叶草分级读物》第七级中的一个故事,讲述了小男孩本掉了一颗牙齿后的经历。本文为记叙文,围绕着本的牙齿展开故事,属于身体部位主题。

1[What]主题意义和主要内容

绘本通过真实、细腻的叙事故事,传达着“从家庭到学校对牙齿的重视&妈妈陪伴成长”这一主题思想;又通过精美的图画和场景的变化不断引发读者的猜测与想象。

故事从本在学校吃苹果时,不小心掉了一颗牙开始。他拿着掉下来的牙去找格林老师时,老师给了他一个小盒子,让他把掉了的牙放进去。放学后,本急忙回家跟妈妈分享了自己掉牙的事情,妈妈告诉他要把掉下来的牙放在床边,因为掌管牙齿的小精灵会在他睡着后,拿走这颗牙。尽管本的第一反应是世界上根本没有小精灵,它们只是在童话故事里;在睡觉前,他还是半信半疑,可还是将装着牙齿的盒子放在了床头。牙仙会来吗?抑或根本就不会出现。然而令本想象不到的是:第二天当他起床时,竟然发现牙齿不见了,取而代之的是一枚硬币。本惊讶万分,赶紧跑了出去,将这个消息与妈妈分享。

2[Why]写作意图

作者首先通过描写本在学校掉了一颗牙,但是从他和小伙伴的表现来看,他们是既吃惊又好奇,对于身体的变化,孩子们似乎还没有做好心理准备;而格林老师给了他一个精美的小盒子,体现了学校对牙齿的重视和保护。文本通过描写本睡觉前对牙仙子的到来既怀疑又满怀期待的复杂心情,生动地表现了孩子对一切充满好奇的特点。第二天,当本发现牙不见了,取而代之是一枚硬币时,他的激动和兴奋溢于言表。而作为读者的我们,相信在这一刻,一定能体会到妈妈为了保护孩子的童真,让其感受到成长的喜悦,而付出的真心和爱。

3[How]文体结构和语言修辞

本文是记叙文,讲述了本掉牙后的经历。

从内容结构上看,本书从牙齿掉在苹果里-拿着牙齿寻求老师帮助-牙齿装在盒子里-牙齿放在床头-牙齿被牙仙拿走五个主要场景展开故事了一些关于故事叙述的单词过去式及短语,如:ran home, showed Mum,laughed, read him a story, woke up, looked in…等。

一、教学目标

在本节课学习结束时,学生能够:

1.提取本掉牙后的故事信息(起因、经过、高潮、发展、结局),以story map的形式进行梳理;

2.根据story map,讲述本掉牙后的生活经历,小组合作表演本掉牙后的生活片段;

3.在拼图阅读活动中获取细节信息,完成学习任务单;

4.根据对故事的理解,结合教师的补充材料,讨论妈妈为什么说牙仙子会在本睡觉后把

牙齿拿走,并尝试用英语进行评价,表达个人的观点及看法。

二、教学重难点

教学重点:

1.提取本掉牙后的故事信息(起因、经过、高潮、发展、结局),以story map的形式进行梳理;

2.根据story map,讲述本掉牙后的生活经历,小组合作表演本掉牙后的生活片段。
