一、教学内容 Story time  

二、教学目标  

1. 知识目标  

(1) 能听懂、会说、会读单词:see the doctor, check, take medicine, drink water, dentist, brush one’s teeth, bedtime  

(2)能听懂、会说、会读句型:What’s wrong with you? I have a fever/headache/cold/toothache. You should/shouldn’t…  

(3) 能初步感知、理解文本,并能准确地朗读和复述文本。  

2. 能力目标  

能提高英语的听、说、读、写的能力  

3. 情感目标:  

引导学生学会关心他人  

三、教学重难点  

1. 词汇:feel, should, have a rest, toothache, anything  

2. 能初步运用句型What’s wrong with you? I have a ….What should I do?   

You should../You shouldn’t…  

3. 能理解对话内容并以正确的语音语调朗读对话。

五、教学过程  

Step 1 warming-up  

1. Enjoy a song < sickness>  

2. Free talk   

T: What do you hear in the song?  

sick, fever, cold...  

T: How to ask?  

What’s the matter with...= What’s wrong with...?  

Step 2 Pre-reading  

1. Look at the picture. What ’s wrong with the boy?  Headache.  

了解疾病的表示方法,身体部位+ache  

2. 感知headachetoothacheearachebackache...  

3. T: If we don’t feel well, what can we do ?  

S: Go to the hospital. / See the doctor...(揭题)  

Step 3 While-reading  

1. Preview and check  

  Who? Where? What?  

  S1: They are Su Hai and Mike.   

  S1: They are in the hospital.   

  S1: They are sick/ill.  

2. Watch and find  

Watch the cartoon and find out the answers.  

Q: What’s wrong with Su Hai and Mike?  

3. Listen and choose   

Listen to the computer and choose the right answers.  

Q: What should Su Hai do?  

She should drink some warm water.  

She should have a rest.  

She should take some medicine.(新授)  

4. Complete the medical record  

  Complete the blanks about Su Hais feeling, the illness and the advice.   

5. Try to say about Su Hai   

6. Read and imitate  

7. Read and complete   

Read part 2 about Mike by yourselves and complete the medical record   

8. Read part 2 and try to retell about Mike
