2.能力目标:  

(1)能正确理解、朗读、复述课文;  

(2)能正确朗读、运用动词短语buy a Christmas tree, go to see Father Christmas等描述圣诞节;  

(3)能按照时间的先后顺序运用重点句型firstnextthenfinally描述圣诞活动。

了解圣诞节的相关文化。

Step 1. Warming up

Step 2 Talk about Christmas  

1.Show the calendar:  

What day is it today ? It’s Christmas Day. ( Teach : Christmas )  

What was yesterday ? It was Christmas Eve. (Teach : Eve )  

2.Talk about Christmas   

(1)When’s Christmas ?  

(2)What do people eat at Christmas ?( Teach : turkey , pudding)  

(3)What do people usually do on Christmas Day ?  

Teach : buy presents , Christmas trees , go shopping   

Step 3. Before Christmas  

1.Watch and tick   

T: We always have a lot of fun at Christmas . How about Mike ?  

What do his family do at Christmas ?
